Meet Speaker Scott Winship:
Scott started his law career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Pierce and King Counties before entering private practice. After several years in private practice, he was tasked with running a locally owned bank. After the bank was sold, Scott’s reputation for public service and honesty drew him to Vandeberg Johnson Gandara PS, where he has remained for over twenty-one years.
In 2017, he represented Kerri Kasem, the daughter of America’s Top 40 host, Casey Kasem. This happened after Casey Kasem’s second wife, Jean, brought him up to the Puget Sound area, after removing him from a medical facility in Los Angeles against medical orders. It was a contentious case that ended with a bar complaint being filed against me by Jean Kasem for “human trafficking” (of all things). He learned about the bar complaint from a reporter from a nation law journal, since he had been provided with a press release from Jean Kasem.
