1. The President called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm. The agenda was approved and attendance.

2. Executive Board Reports:

a. Secretary: we now have 72 members.

b. Treasurer: The Treasurer presented the financial report thru 2-29-08

c. President:
" The Board agreed to affiliate with the National Guardian Association and asked the President to file an application for 501c3 recognition.
" Annual Meeting: May 9 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the YMCA; all costs will be paid for by WAPG; member reservations need to be in by 4-24-08 and guests will be $30.00.

3. Committee Reports:

a. Nominating Committee Report. Scott Malavotte presented the Nominating Committee Report. The Committee nominates Kenneth Curry for President, Mimi Hudson for Vice President, Glenda Voller for Secretary and Bill Jaback for Treasurer.

b. Spring Seminar: Leesa Camerota reported that brochures have gone out, it was noted that the AV system will cost $800 and mailing brochures was $200 and catering will be about $13 to $20 per person. Glenda Voller reported that 18 registrations have been received.

c. CPG Board report: no meeting occurred today but was moved to next week in Olympia. Leesa Camerota indicated she would attend.

d. GR 23: Chris Neal brought the updated Committee Report. The Report was accepted for circulation and to encourage WAPG members to email their opinions to the Supreme Court.

e. Insurance: Resa Raven was unable to be present but reported via email that those who were facing decertification were going out the business anyway. She expressed her major concern was making sure the policies members were getting were good.

f. Medicaid data collection: Ken Curry reported that four members would be meeting with the Researcher from the Institute for Public Policy later this month or early next.

4. Informal Reports:

a. WAC 388: No one willing to take the lead to increase $175 rate.

b. Membership: No one leading this effort yet. A couple of individuals are encouraging people and our "each one get one" got a few members and the Presidents presentation in Silverdale got a couple more.

c. OPG observation: There are apparently 6 public guardians who will be signing contracts in the next month.

d. UW CPG: no new report

e. Legislative Watch: Sylvia Curry reported that members should be meeting their Representatives face to face.

5. Input for the good of the order

a. Encouragement for a Speaker's Bureau or even a Public Relations firm to tell our story
